Combox Debate on the Unborn

Image representing YouTube as depicted in Crun...

About three days ago Rosary Films posted the full version of the anti-abortion video The Silent Scream. This graphic video shows the truth concerning abortion. Despite its age, the ultrasound technology used to replay the deadly procedure is still used today, though much improved.

Below is a combox discussion that was initiated by me in response to the first comment below. I encourage everyone to read the comments and view the video (discretion is advised), which is linked above and embedded at the end of the post. Please note the argument the pro-abortion person uses as the root defense: state of consciousness versus unconsciousness of the unborn. It shows up somewhere in the middle of the exchange.

Point of clarification, there some comments towards the end that seem to be out-of-place but I can’t recall the entire sequence of the discussion as it split in two after Pelonetillo began to grasp at straws in trying to irk me. I became slightly irked due to disappointment in the persons lack of persistence and knowledge rather than the composition of the mud they tried to sling.

Feel free to speak your mind here or at the YouTube combox.

the wrong decision is having a baby before youre ready.

    Pelonetillo 5 days ago

@Pelonetillo The wrong decision is having sex outside of the institution of marriage and then blaming the child for their own existence.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

its got nothing to do with blaming anyone. women who get abortions just dont want to be pregnant or have a kid; you actually think they go to the clinics thinking, “its all the fault of this baby in my belly!!”? lol, thats just silly.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Then in all honesty their pro-choice moment was before she laid down. Stand up and be an adult. You make a choice – deal with the results. Mother Teresa once said, “It’s the greatest poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.” Choosing to murder your own child in-utero, in many cases, is shifting the burden of bad choices on those who make none.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

abortion is dealing with the results. its correcting the mistake of unintentionally getting pregnant. when someone make typo or misspells a word, theyre not supposed to hit backspace to correct their mistake? theyre supposed to deal with the results, and this makes them an adult? lol. that is nonsense. unborn children experience no burden—so no, there is no shift in burden; theyre unconscious.

@Pelonetillo Seems like you know nothing of human biology. Unborn humans are conscious. They sleep and wake. They feel and hear. They move and rest. The time we spend in our mother’s womb is part of our process of development – as we pray in our General Intentions – “From conception unto natural death.” Dealing with the results is grant that child their right to live. Any human wishes for the same. Oh, and a baby is not a typo. It is a person – same as you and I – only smaller and defenseless.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

lol, well, i dont know anything about fake, antiabortionist human biology—which im sure youre very well versed in. but i do read medical and scientific journals, and in fact, they are not conscious until later in the pregnancy. they dont have rights to life, thats why women can have abortions. and any human doesnt wish the same, unborn children are human yet do not wish as they are unconscious.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

    @Pelonetillo
If that makes you sleep better at night then good for you. But diluting oneself to the fact that abortion=murder of a human baby by her mother via the abortionist is pretty sad. Why not be truthful and say that every person has the right to kill another simply if they get in their way – especially if you are part of the reason they are in your way in the first place. You are correct that the unborn are the only ones w/o a right to life but why is that? Humans are humans after all.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

lol, you mean deluding? im not the one citing make believe biology facts—that would be you. that wouldnt be truthful—people go to jail for killing anyone that gets in their way. dont you ever watch the news? they dont have a right to life because they arent protected by the constitution, more importantly, because they arent conscious individuals like you and i are.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo so what you’re say is that if I find you unconscious then you know longer have a right to life so I or any other is free to kill you despite you being alive. BTW, the Constitution does protect the right of the unborn. Judges do not have the right to make laws – that is the legislature’s job. We have completely lost our sense of government for the sake of personal convenience.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

no, rights are based on law (e.g., constitution). constitution doesnt protect the life of unborn.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo First, you did not answer my question concerning your right to life if found unconscious. Second, the Const. Give the power to make laws to Congress, interpret to Judiciary, enforce to Executive. The Supreme Court overstepped their bounds in Roe v. Wade. This is evidenced by the comment made in the final decision stating that if “personhood” could be established for the unborn then RvW would be null. Never before, 1973, did anyone ever truly believe that the unborn were not persons.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

yeah, i did. you cant kill me because i have constitutional rights—you would get locked up. doesnt matter if im conscious, im already born and a citizen of the country. roe v wade was fine, theres nothing wrong with it. lol, never before 1973? thats not true. the unborn werent even treated like persons in the bible.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Your whole argument against the unborn is that they are unconscious. Logically any person found in that state would then lose their rights – according to you. As for the Bible please cite what you claim. I don’t need Chapter and verse (yet), just a round about citation will suffice.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

no, thats only part of it. no, thats not logical, because thats not the reality of it. rights dont hinge on consciousness, why would you conclude that someone loses their rights because of being unconscious if that is the case—which it is? that is not logical. Exodus 21:22-24, man kills unborn child by hitting the pregnant woman, he is is fined per husbands demands but if he kills the woman, then its life for life, eye for eye, etc. unborn child isnt treated like persons, as the woman is.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Ex 21:22-24 is a pro-abort’s fav cuz u lack proper context & understanding prior 2 slinging. In practice, there remained some question concerning formed vs unformed unborn. If formed, then the penalty of death applied, if unformed then the penalty deemed by the the husband. Then there is the issue of willful miscarriage (abortion) or non-willful. Part is the lack of understanding of human bio. Now that we know humans r such since conception – we understand that willful=murder.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

there is no context lacking. abortions happen on unborn children that are not fully formed, so that wouldnt even be an issue. secondly, it doesnt matter if it is willful. if the guy killed the wife on accident, he would still pay life for life, eye for eye. “now that we know?” be careful, lozeerose, sounds like youre calling the word of god an uninformed word, when obviously that couldnt be the case as he knows all.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo The Word is not uninformed – you are. Simply put. Abortions occur on formed children. Human conceive humans not bacteria or some other organism. Like I said, the populous’ understanding then was not as it is now. We, as a people, grow in our understanding of the world around us, this is why God does not reveal all to us at once. We lack proper understanding of many things. Again, God certainly knows all - it is we that do not.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

lol, no, im not. you said “now that we know” in the context of that passage in the bible. you questioned gods word and now youre lying about it—i dont really care, thats your problem.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Your argument against the unborn is thus shown by your own admission to be illogical and without merit as you stated “rights dont hinge on consciousness.”

    lozeerose 3 days ago

i can tell youre trying really hard to sound smart—and i appreciate your effort—but you have no idea what youre talking about. the unborn dont have rights. when i say rights dont hinge on consciousness, im talking about actual rights that exist in reality—unborn children dont have any. lol.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Not trying to sound smart, just biting my tongue so as not to be uncharitable. My speech isn’t always G-rated and there is no reason to curse especially in combox discussion – so I try not to. The unborn have as many God-given rights as you or I. That you wish to make the null is your err. You speak in relativistic terms and show how self-centered the ideology is. Those like you care nothing for the born or unborn alike. It’s just easier for you to dehumanize the defenseless.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

no, they do not have as many god-given rights—the bible contradicts you on that one. but then, youve demonstrated that you dont have much respect for gods word.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Now it’s my turn to LOL. In the face of truth you just cower and poop from your cage. Pretty obvious that you’ve no knowledge of God’s Word let alone how to read and understand it. Thanks to Him, I have His Church to help guide me. Can’t say the same for you…relativism is truly a lonely place because it is a religion of one. I’ll add you to the prayer intentions list. Nice speaking with you.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

pretty obvious you dont care what gods word says, because youll just twist it into anything that suits your needs. i can actually read, hence why i dont need any church guiding me, lol. oh yeah, prayer will definitely make a difference. lol.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Oh good. So you read the part about “thou shall not…Kill, fornicate, lust, etc. And there is the male & female He created them…Love you are God w/ all, love your neighbor as yourself…on and on. Seems pretty clear – murder is bad, same sex unions/lifestyle are bad, sex outside of marriage is bad…Glad you can read that too but I suspect you don’t agree w/ it though. Oh wait, you must bcuz you care about God’s Word so you & I must b in agreement on all of these then…

    lozeerose 3 days ago

yea, seen all of that. you suspect i dont agree, i know you dont agree. you dont follow the bible by the letter. abortion isnt considered murder.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Bible does not teach “Sola Scriptura.” But that’s for another debate. So then is it safe to say that you are opposed to premarital sex, homosexual lifestyles, murder, etc.?

    lozeerose 3 days ago

@lozeeroseThis person Pelontillo, you’ve been exchanging words.Well I’ve been doing the same as you.Go to you tube,”I am Pro Abortion”.You can see what I’ve written. It been over two days.I sent him over to check out Silent Scream, which he says is Pro Life Propag
anda. The Pro Abort. call it propaganda, because they have lots to lose by the reality of this video. The abortion industry is a over billion dollar business.Their goal is to keep Jane/John Q public in the dark. The numbers of AB are dropping.

@122651Lil Thx 4 the positive words. Denial is 4 the blind & hard of heart. We need 2 pray 4 them & ourselves. Sad that they are so addicted to themselves & the culture of death that they cannot see murder even when it’s done b4 their very eyes.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

lol, two for the price of one. yes, please pray for us. im sure if you pray hard enough, i will change my mind and be saved. pretty please, pray for me! lol.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo My praying hard enough has nothing to do with ur own acceptance of God’s will for your life. I can pray all day but God isn’t going to force anything on you. Funny thing about prayer is that sometimes it dosen’t seem to make sense but it always works out…

    lozeerose 3 days ago

im sure it does. always works out even though it doesnt always work. makes pefect sense.

    Pelonetillo 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo What a Doofenschmirtz. Bet your mom is proud. BTW, thank ur mom for allowing you to live.

@Pelonetillo Surly an infinite God already knew that since, if what you say is true, He made you both. God is the author of Truth. If science seeks truth, then it will always end up before His throne. Science is subject to God thus the Big Bang, evolution, etc. All methods theorized to be chosen by the Creator. How awesome is God!

    lozeerose 3 days ago

And, surely, an infinite God wouldn’t put a soul into a baby he knew would be aborted; that’d be rather cruel on his part. God is definitely awesome.

    Breviloquent 3 days ago

@Breviloquent The fact that a baby has a soul and is aborted is not cruel. Guilt of murder still befalls the mother mother. This is why abortion is such a heainous crime. God does not take back your free will. Besides, we know that God is all merciful and loving, so the aborted baby is certainly not liable for their death. On the other hand mom and doc still have the opportunity to seek forgivness for murdering an innocent child.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo No, not as smart as me but far closer to the person God intended you to be ever since He gave you life at your conception.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Mommy wound huh? So sad but get over it – we all got ‘em.

    lozeerose 3 days ago

@Pelonetillo Doof. I suggest that you take some Biblical Theology courses. Better yet, read the Catechism along with the Scripture. Maybe you’ll actually learn something.

All of this interaction was as a result of the Silent Scream.
