Did Martin Luther have any political or economic motivations for the reformation?

Quite honestly, from what I know about him no. Though there was apparently a more personal motivation and that was his desire to go against the Church in take upon himself what was for God to do. Also, he married so I'm sure he wasn't happy with his priestly vows of celibacy any longer.
